JioBook, Reliance's First Laptop Used Only By Govt Employees So Far, Available For All Now: Check Out Details

JioBook is finally available for purchase for all. The maiden laptop from Reliance was first showcased at the India Mobile Congress 2022 and is now listed on Reliance Digital at a heavily discounted price. So far, the JioBook was only limited to government employees but it’s now available for purchase by the general public. Although carrying an MRP of over Rs 35,000, the JioBook has been listed with an offer price, notably bringing down the price of Reliance’s notebook debutante.

JioBook price in India, availability

As mentioned earlier, JioBook carries an MRP of Rs 35,605. However, it has been listed on Reliance Digital at a deal price of Rs 15,799. Customers can also avail of a further discounted price on specific bank credit cards (Yes Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, to name a few), and can also opt for EMI options starting at Rs 758.56 per month. 

The JioBook is available in a single colourway — Jio Blue. For those interested, the JioBook comes with a 1-year warranty. 

JioBook specifications, features

Developed in collaboration with Google and Microsoft, the JioBook is powered by Reliance’s proprietary JioOS. It sports a notebook-like 11.6-inch display that offers a resolution of 1,366x768 pixels. 

The JioBook is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon processor, paired with 2GB RAM and a 950MHz Adreno GPU. For storage, it comes with 32GB eMMC flash memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB (via MicroSD card). 

For connectivity, the JioBook supports Wi-Fi (802.11ac), LTE (B3, B5, B40), and Bluetooth v5. It comes with an HDMI mini port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSD card reader. 

Audio is handled by two 1W speakers. The JioBook packs a 5,000mAh battery. 

Weighing 1.5kg, the lightweight JioBook measures 18.86x1.72x27.7 centimetres.
