iPhone SE 4 May Come With 6.1 inch LCD Display And A Notch: Analyst Ross Young

As per Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young, the iPhone SE 4 is likely to come with a 6.1-inch LCD display with a notch.

The fourth generation of Apple iPhone SE is likely to be unveiled next year and rumours of the purported iPhone SE 4 have already started to pop up. As per Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young, the iPhone SE 4 is likely to come with a 6.1-inch LCD display with a notch cutout at the top.

Young's predictions about Apple products have always been very accurate. The analyst was quoted as saying in a report by MacRumors that he has revised his expectations for the iPhone SE‌ fourth generation ‌phone. According to Young's revised prediction, the iPhone SE would come with a 6.1-inch display with a notch. However, it is not known whether the ‌iPhone SE‌'s notch will contain a TrueDepth camera system similar to other iPhone models.

A recent report by news agency Bloomberg said that even as Apple has tested adding Touch ID back to the iPhone, it is unlikely to make a comeback in the near future. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the tech giant has tested in-screen Touch ID for the iPhone and has also considered adding Touch ID to the power button, similar to the iPad Air and iPad mini. However, it is unlikely that either would be launched "in the foreseeable future”, Gurman writes in his Power On newsletter.

Over the past few years, there have been discussions within Apple about bringing Touch ID back to high-end iPhones. The company has tested in-screen Touch ID and even contemplated putting it on the power button. At this point, I believe Face ID is here to stay and Touch ID won’t be returning to flagship iPhones—at least anytime in the foreseeable future, the Power On newsletter read.

The iPhone SE (2022) was launched with a home button with Touch ID, which some users still prefer over Face ID and gesture navigation. To recall, the design language of the iPhone SE (2022) has not changed much since its predecessor, but a new addition is the inclusion of 5G support which was available in the pricier iPhone 12 series and the iPhone 13 lineup. The iPhone SE (2022) also has the A15 Bionic chip which is the same processor included in the iPhone 13 series as well as the sixth-gen iPad tablet.
