Two purported Apple iPad models have surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, which indicates the imminent launch of these devices in India. Two iPad models have been listed on the BIS certification website, labeled with the model numbers A2836 and A2837. However, it remains unclear which specific iPads these model numbers correspond to, although rumours suggest updates to the Pro and Air lineups this year, says a report by 91Mobiles.

Apple's anticipated releases include new iPad Pro models featuring OLED displays, marking a first for the series. Additionally, there are reports of a 12.9-inch iPad Air in development, which would also be a first for the lineup.

As previously reported by Bloomberg, the Apple iPad Pro models are set to get sharper OLED displays, while the iPad Air will introduce a 12.9-inch screen option for the first time.
Amidst various rumours, the debut of new iPad models was initially anticipated in March. However, recent reports suggest that Apple could potentially unveil these new iPads either this month or in early May. Although an exact launch date remains undisclosed, there is high anticipation for Apple to introduce the new devices shortly.

Meanwhile, a recent report by news agency Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the situation said Apple Inc.'s overseas suppliers have increased production of the company's much-anticipated new iPad models, with a launch slated for early May.
The upcoming release will focus on updated versions of the Apple iPad Pro and Apple iPad Air, the sources added, requesting anonymity as the plans have not been made public.
It is pertinent to note that this update will mark Apple's first revamp of the iPad lineup since 2018.
