Apple Working To Launch HomePod mini, HomePod And 2 Other Home Devices Soon?

In a bid to make a bigger push into the smart home devices market, Apple is working to introduce an updated HomePod mini, a new high-end HomePod along with two other home devices by the end of 2023 or early 2024, the media has reported. According to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, the iPhone maker is working on “at least four new smart home devices" in its labs, but not all will see the light of the day.

Among the ones Apple is working on, the new high-end HomePod seems to be getting launched.

The famed Apple journalist also added that the tech giant is also working on an updated HomePod mini, however, it is not yet clear what the new smart home device may arrive with. It is likely that Apple is working on updating all its devices with Bluetooth 5.2 support as an important audio codec has just been released.

As per Gurman's report, a new full-sized Apple HomePod is on the way to being launched in early 2023, which is in line with a timeline set forth by famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Meanwhile, Apple, for the first time, will ship the India-made iPhone 14 simultaneously with the China-made iPhone models in the second half of 2022, Kuo said last week. Apple is slated to launch the new iPhone 14 lineup in September.

According to the Apple analyst, Apple's contract manufacturing partner Foxconn in India will ship the iPhone 14 units from its production facility almost simultaneously with China for the first time ever. "My latest survey indicates Foxconn's iPhone production site in India will ship the new 6.1" iPhone 14 almost simultaneously with China for the first time in 2H22 (India being one quarter or more behind in the past)," Kuo, Analyst at TFI International Securities tweeted.

The Apple iPhone 14 series is said to be unveiled next month and it seems like the tech giant has high hopes for the upcoming lineup's initial sales. The company had begun the trial production of the iPhone 14 series and mass production of the lineup in July. The iPhone 14 series may go official sometime in September and the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro are likely to feature the same screen size.
