As per a report by Android Headlines, new renders and promotional images of the smartphone have surfaced, providing an extensive overview of the Pixel 8a's features. Google showcases the Pixel 8a's "AI-mazing" Pixel Camera, boasting features like Best Take, Audio Magic Eraser, and Night Sight, which were previously introduced on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro flagship phones.

Furthermore, Google underscores Call Assist for call screening, email summaries, and Circle to Search.

Beneath the surface, the Pixel 8a operates on the Google Tensor G3 processor, promising enhanced fast charging capabilities of up to 27W or 30W, a notable upgrade from the Pixel 7a's 18W. The device flaunts IP67 certification for water and dust resistance, coupled with a commitment to "seven" years of security updates, distinguishing it from the flagship Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

The Pixel 8a is anticipated to hit shelves shortly after the Google I/O event, possibly launching on May 16, following the event on May 14 and 15.

To recall, PassionateGeekz earlier reported that a Canadian retailer listed the Pixel 8a at CAD 708.99 (approximately Rs 42,830) for the 128GB storage variant and CAD 792.99 (roughly Rs 47,900) for the 256GB model. However, the publication has not disclosed the name of the Canadian retailer that listed these versions of the Pixel 8a.

In India, the Pixel 8a is expected to be priced slightly higher than its predecessor, the Pixel 7a, by around Rs 1,000 to Rs. 2,000, as per the report. Google introduced the Pixel 7a in May 2023 with a price tag of Rs 43,999 for the 8GB+128GB RAM and storage variant.
