Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro May Get Bigger Battery And Faster Charging
There are smartphone makers such as OnePlus and Oppo that provide insane charging speeds for their phones, but Google still chooses to ship Pixel phones with 23W of wired charging support.
Google Pixel 8 series is likely to get upgrades in terms of fast charging and battery. The Google Pixel 8 lineup is said to come with bigger batteries and faster charging speeds than last year's Pixel 7 lineup. Even as wired charging is likely to get a bump, wireless charging on the purported Pixel 8 phones is expected to remain the same. There are smartphone makers such as OnePlus and Oppo that provide insane charging speeds for their phones, but Google still chooses to ship Pixel phones with 23W of wired charging support. As per a report by Android Police, the new Pixel phones will see a small 4W boost in their wired battery charging speeds. With this, Google would join the likes of global tech giants to locally manufacture products in India. The tech giant is in talks with homegrown manufacturers such as Lava International, Dixon Technologies and Tawian's Foxconn's Bharat FIH for locally assembling the devices, a report by news agency Bloomberg said last month.
