New Delhi: As per complaint threads spotted on Reddit and Google forums, the new flagships from Google, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users are experiencing random signal loss issues. After installing Android 12, the latest Android update, owners of some older Pixel phones are also facing network strength issues, suggesting that the problem could be associated with Android 12, as per a new report.

Phone Service Dropped Entirely At Random Intervals For Some Pixel 6 Users

Android Police was the first to spot the complaints on Reddit and Google Support forums. Google Pixel 6 and Pixel Pro users in various markets like the US and Canada have been affected by the problem, as per the complaints. The phone service drops entirely at random intervals, users complained.

Problem Could Be Related To The Samsung Exynos 5123b Modem 

Several users also noted that they did not face such issues on their older Pixel phones. The problem could either be related to Android 12 or the Samsung Exynos 5123b modem in the Pixel 6 series of smartphones, according to the report. Google has not officially commented anything on the matter. Also, there is no permanent solution to the problem, the report said.

Temporary Fixes To The Issue

Some users complained of workaround temporary fixes of the problem on the forums. Installing a pending update to Carrier Services fixed the issue for some users, while for others, rebooting the phone solved the problem. Some users stated in the forums that they changed their SIM card. The issue can also be resolved by disabling the "Adaptive Connectivity" issue, some users said.

The Adaptive Connectivity feature helps save battery life by automatically transitioning from 5G to 4G, when one no longer feels the need for a faster network speed.
Earlier, problems such as slow fingerprint unlocking, screen flickering and green tint problems, ghost calling, and fast charging issues were faced by Google Pixel 6 and Pixel Pro users.
