CMF Phone 1 To Have Vertical Cameras. Here's What Else To Expect

About the CMF Phone 1's camera design, the sensors will be vertically arranged at the back.

The CMF Phone 1's camera configuration has been officially teased through a post on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter. This launch will mark CMF's entry into the competitive segment, leveraging Nothing's innovative approach to consumer electronics.

About the CMF Phone 1's camera design, the sensors will be vertically arranged at the back. This suggests a focus on space efficiency by the brand. The raised design, common in modern smartphones, likely accommodates larger camera components for improved image quality. Meanwhile, the CMF Phone 1's pricing information was earlier leaked by tipster Yogesh Brar. According to Brar, the upcoming CMF phone's price, which includes bank discount offers,  will be under Rs 20,000.

As the sub-brand of the London-based tech company, CMF aims to bring fresh design and features to the mid-range smartphone segment.

The release of the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2 along with the phone suggests a coordinated ecosystem approach, potentially offering seamless integration between devices.

As the official unveiling of CMF Phone 1 draws near, we are getting to see more teasers from the Carl Pei-led company. Another leak from CMF by Nothing shows that the screw on the rear of the CMF Phone 1, previously shown in teasers, is indeed detachable.

The London-based consumer tech firm would also bring a sleek SIM ejector tool that will double up as a screwdriver.

A turn for the best.

Another teaser video suggests that the CMF Phone 1 will feature removable back plates, allowing for enhanced customisation. A member of the Nothing Community in the video even mentions the possibility of 3D printing custom back plates for the device.

Meanwhile, Nothing has scheduled its next Community Update event for July 8 at 10 am BST, which is 2:30 pm IST. At the event, the company will announce the CMF Phone 1, marking the debut of its first smartphone under the CMF sub-brand. Additionally, Nothing will introduce the second generation of its CMF Buds Pro and the Watch Pro alongside the CMF Phone 1. The new smartphone will be launched under the CMF by Nothing sub-brand.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the official CMF account announced that the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2 will be launched along with the CMF Phone 1. These new devices will be introduced at Nothing's upcoming Community Update event on July 8.

CMF Phone 1 Specifications And Features (Expected)

The CMF Phone 1 is said to depart from its traditional Glyph interface, opting instead for a novel volume knob-like button positioned on the phone's rear. The Nothing Phone 2a also saw the company reducing the number of Glyph lights at the back of the phone.

Details of the button's specific functionalities remain undisclosed, leaving uncertainties whether it will serve a purely aesthetic purpose or offer additional capabilities. Nothing, however, suggests that the CMF Phone 1 could offer distinctive features intended at distinguishing itself amidst competitors.
