Nothing Phone 2a India Launch

Handset maker Nothing is confirmed to launch the Nothing Phone 2a in India on March 5. Although not a flagship, it's touted as an upgrade from the Nothing Phone 1, the company's first handset, released in July 2022. The design and features remain undisclosed by the UK-based OEM, but leaks and reports have hinted at key details. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), noted tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) recently said that the Nothing Phone 2a might carry a price tag of Rs 30,000 in India. The leakster also mentioned the possibility of a limited release in the US, with an expected price of $400 (which is approximately Rs 33,200). Additionally, leaked design renders have appeared online recently, while a tipster has provided insight into specifications and potential pricing for the Indian market.

The tipster also mentioned that the forthcoming Nothing Phone 2a is anticipated to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC. Additionally, it could come pre-installed with Android 14-based NothingOS 2.5 and sport a 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Nothing Phone 2a is set to launch globally on March 5 at 11:30 GMT (which translates to 5:00 PM IST in India). However, it remains uncertain whether the Nothing Phone 2a will feature the Glyph interface on its rear panel. The global launch announcement was followed by a dedicated post on Nothing's India X account, confirming the launch in the country.

Nothing Phone 2a Expected Specs, Features, More

Unlike its predecessors, the Nothing Phone 2a seems to sport a transparent rear panel, a departure from the customisable LED array of the Glyph interface. Moreover, the camera layout on the Nothing Phone 2a differs from its predecessors, featuring two vertically arranged lenses in the top-left corner, accompanied by Nothing branding and regulatory icons at the bottom.

Adding to the buzz, the Nothing Phone 2a has recently acquired NBTC certification, as disclosed by reputable tipster Mukul Sharma, indicating an imminent launch.

Exclusive to Flipkart in India, the smartphone is poised to inherit and enhance upon the features of last year's Nothing Phone 2, promising an elevated user experience compared to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 1.
