Battlegrounds Mobile India: Demand To Ban Game Grows, CAIT Writes Letter To Government

Previously, a similar demand was made to ban Battleground Mobile India, which is being called the Indian version of PUBG. This game is being described as a threat to the security of the country like PUBG.

The fans of PUBG have been waiting for its Indian version Battlegrounds Mobile India for a long time but, they may get a setback before its launch. In fact, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has written a letter to the Union IT and Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, demanding a ban on this game. They believe that this game can prove to be a threat to India's national sovereignty and security. It is harmful for the younger generation. 

Demand to ban the game grows.
Along with demanding the ban, CAIT has also asked Google to forbid Battlegrounds Mobile India developer company Krafton from using the Google Play Store platform for the game. According to CAIT, Battleground Mobile India has features like PUBG and this can put India's security at risk. The game can leak data of millions of users in India.

Government takes a stand regarding the ban.
An RTI filed by Dr. Gaurav Tyagi, assistant professor at JNU, has received replies from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). It has been said in the reply that no game can be banned before its launch. Responding to RTI, the IT Ministry said that the government cannot stop this game from being launched in India. However, as per section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, once the game is officially launched it could face a ban.

Downloads crossed 50 lakhs
Let us tell you that the early access of Battlegrounds Mobile India was recently made available for Android users. According to game maker Krafton, it has crossed 50 lakh downloads in Early Access.
