Apple WWDC 2023 Dates Revealed: iOS, MacOS And WatchOS Updates Expected

Apple has officially announced it will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 in an online format from June 5 through 9.

Apple has officially announced it will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 in an online format from June 5 through 9. There will be an opportunity for both developers and students to have an in-person experience at the Apple Park campus in California on the first day.

It should be noted that Apple's annual WWDC event focuses on software announcements, but we can also expect some hardware announcements too.

Similar to last year, this year's iteration will offer online sessions and labs, which would let developers learn about the new features and software that will be announced at the WWDC event. There will also be a traditional Swift Student Challenge, and Apple will be accepting applications through April 19.
The WWDC 2023 event is likely to spotlight the latest iOS, macOS, iPadOS, watchOS and tvOS advancements.

As part of Apple’s ongoing commitment to helping developers create innovative apps, the event will also provide them with unique access to Apple engineers, as well as insight into new technologies and tools to help them realise their visions.

“WWDC is one of our favourite times of the year at Apple because it’s an opportunity to connect with the talented developers from around the globe who make this community so extraordinary,” Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations, said in a statement.

“WWDC23 is going to be our biggest and most exciting yet, and we can’t wait to see many of you online and in person at this very special event!”

Previously, Apple WWDC event tickets were made available at a cost for the in-person event. However, since 2020, the annual event has been made available for all developers for free in a virtual format. The event will be broadcast through various platforms, including Apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple Developer website, Apple TV as well as YouTube.
