Apple’s much-talked-about mixed reality (MR) headset may be announced just ahead of the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Apple may call its MR headset “Reality Pro” and it is likely to offer virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) capabilities so that its users can immerse themselves in a virtual world, the media has reported.
According to a report by news agency Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who is pretty accurate with Apple forecasts, the tech giant will launch its MR headset this spring. The iPhone maker is also gearing up to unveil the device ahead of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June and the company is likely to start shipping the MR headset this fall.

It should be noted that famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently said that the MR headset will go on sale either late in the second quarter or sometime in the third quarter of 2023, which means July through September, corroborating Gurman's prediction.

As a result, it is increasingly unlikely that Apple will hold a media event for the new device in January. At this point, it seems more likely that Apple will announce the AR/MR headset at a spring media event or WWDC based on the current development progress.
