Apple MacBook Pro's new range starts from Rs 1,69,990.

At the Scary Fast event on Tuesday, Apple introduced a range of cutting-edge products, including the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips, along with the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, as well as the 24-inch M3 iMac. These chips represent a significant technological leap, as they are the world's first personal computer chips built using the 3nm process technology. This advancement allows for a higher density of transistors, resulting in improved speed and efficiency.

  • For the variant equipped with the M3 Pro chip, the price starts at Rs 1,99,990.
  • The 16-inch MacBook Pro model begins at Rs 2,49,900.

These revamped MacBook Pro models, available in both 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, feature the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips, delivering substantial improvements in CPU and GPU performance. Notably, this release marks the discontinuation of the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Additionally, the 24-inch M3 iMac is now available in India, with a price tag of Rs 1,34,900 for the eight-core GPU model and Rs 1,54,900 for the 10-core GPU version. Pre-orders for these iMacs commenced on October 31, with shipping expected to start on November 7.

Apple's latest iteration of the 24-inch iMac maintains the same iconic design, featuring a 4.5K resolution display and a sleek 11.5mm profile. The white bezels, 1080p camera, speakers, microphones, and USB port configurations remain unchanged from its predecessor.

The new M3 chips introduce an innovative GPU microarchitecture, allocation system, and dynamic memory caching, which enable real-time hardware allocation of local memory, optimising GPU utilisation. These chips also enhance rendering capabilities, including mesh shading and ray tracing, resulting in a substantial performance boost—1.8 times faster rendering than the M2 and 2.5 times faster than the M1. The M3 chips further offer a 15 per cent increase in performance cores compared to the M2 and a 30 per cent boost in efficiency cores, marking a significant advancement in computing technology.
