Apple Is Planning To Launch New iPhone SE In 2025 Without THIS Iconic Feature. Check It Out

Apple also plans to launch refreshed iPad Air models and improved keyboard accessories are also expected.

Apple is gearing up to introduce a fresh version of its iPhone SE, along with updated iPad Air models, slated for early 2025. According to reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new iPhone SE, internally referred to as “V59,” will become Apple’s budget-friendly option. The new iPhone SE will not have the series-signature Home button, marking a first for the lineup. At the same time, refreshed iPads and improved keyboard accessories are also expected.

iPhone SE (2025): Specifications (Expected)

This will be the first update to the iPhone SE since 2022 when the device received 5G capabilities. The upcoming version is said to ditch the traditional home button in favor of a sleek edge-to-edge display.

The updated design, resembling the iPhone 14, will likely feature a notch, making it more in line with Apple’s premium models. These changes aim to strengthen Apple’s position in the affordable smartphone segment, where competition from Android devices like Huawei and Xiaomi is fierce.

Currently priced at $429, the iPhone SE is a more economical option than the flagship iPhone models, but still sits above many budget Android phones in cost.

Notably, the new SE is expected to support Apple’s upcoming AI tools, known as "Apple Intelligence," which will also be compatible with the iPhone 16 and some versions of the iPhone 15.

iPad Air (2025): Specifications (Expected)

In addition to the iPhone SE, Apple is planning updates to the iPad Air. Codenamed “J607” and “J637,” these tablets will include internal improvements and be accompanied by an upgraded Magic Keyboard, which will offer some features previously exclusive to the iPad Pro’s keyboard. This year’s iPad Air already introduced an M2 chip and a 13-inch screen option, but further upgrades are expected next year.

Additionally, Apple is working on a new iPad Mini, potentially arriving by late 2024, as well as a refreshed Mac lineup. The updated Macs, including a revamped Mac mini, MacBook Pros, and iMacs, will feature Apple’s M4 chip and advanced AI integration. Further Mac upgrades, including for the MacBook Air and Mac Pro, are expected in 2025.

Apple has not made any official comments regarding these upcoming products, so this report should be considered with a pinch of salt.
