iPhone SE 4 Leaks: No Dynamic Island, Will Sport Single Rear Camera, Everything Else We Know So Far

It seems that Apple will stick to the traditional SE design when it comes to iPhone SE 4.

iPhone SE 4 Leaks: Apple’s next-generation iPhone SE 4 is making waves online as new leaks provide a detailed look at its design and features. Prominent leaker Majin Bu shared a video over the weekend, followed by high-quality images of both black and white models. Tech Crawlr was among the first to report the developments.

What Will iPhone SE 4 Look Like?

Contrary to earlier speculation, the iPhone SE 4 appears to retain Apple’s traditional notch design instead of adopting the Dynamic Island feature seen in recent flagship models like the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. In response to questions on social media, Majin Bu confirmed the decision to stick with the older design approach.

The leaked images, which may depict either a fully functional unit or a high-quality dummy, reveal several key elements. The rear panel shows a single camera setup, maintaining the SE lineup’s characteristic simplicity.

Bu also compared the SE 4 with the iPhone 16 in another tweet:

More notably, the device is shown featuring a USB-C port — a significant change likely driven by the European Union’s mandate requiring the standard port for electronic devices sold within its jurisdiction.

The front of the phone strongly resembles the iPhone 14, sporting a notch and a slightly off-centred front-facing camera. This design choice aligns with Apple’s apparent strategy to balance affordability with familiar aesthetics for its budget-friendly SE series.

What Did Earlier Leaks Suggest?

This isn’t the first glimpse of the iPhone SE 4. Earlier in January, leaker Sonny Dickson shared images of similar dummy units. However, Majin Bu’s recent reveal provides a clearer and more comprehensive view of the model.

Rumours circulating within tech circles suggest the iPhone SE 4 might feature an OLED display and enhanced RAM, possibly to support Apple's advanced AI capabilities. These updates would mark a notable step up from its predecessor.

Though Apple has yet to confirm details about the release, many industry watchers anticipate an official launch in March or April, following the pattern set by the iPhone SE 3, which debuted in March 2022.
