Apple 'Glowtime' Event: Apple is set to launch its latest iPhone 16 series at the 'It's Glowtime' event, scheduled for 10:30 PM IST today. The lineup is expected to include four models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, continuing Apple's tradition of unveiling new flagship phones each year. One of the standout features anticipated in the iPhone 16 Pro model is a significant camera upgrade, including a 5x optical zoom telephoto lens — up from the 3x zoom available in the previous generation. This enhancement is expected to position the Pro models as a top choice for photography enthusiasts.

Reports from Trendforce indicate that Apple may discontinue the 128GB variant for the iPhone 16 Pro, with the base model starting at 256GB, similar to last year's iPhone 15 Pro Max.

This shift was initially expected to bring a price hike, but according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the starting price will remain at $999, matching last year’s pricing. The iPhone 16 Pro is also rumoured to be equipped with Apple's new A18 chipset and enhanced AI features.

As per buzz around the rumour mill, the base iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus prices could be set at a similar price point as last year's variant. iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, if the rumour holds true, could be priced at $799 (roughly Rs 66,300) and $899 (roughly Rs 74,600), respectively.
