iPhone 14 Series Hit By Bug That Shows 'SIM Not Supported' Message: Know Everything
Apple has acknowledged that there is a bug affecting the new iPhone 14 series which is causing users to see "SIM not supported" on their devices.
Apple has acknowledged that there is a bug affecting the new iPhone 14 series which is causing users to see "SIM not supported" on their devices. After the pop-up notification with SIM not supported appears, the iPhone may entirely freeze, according to a memo, as reported by MacRumors. The iPhone maker says it is "investigating" the bug and said that it is not a hardware problem.
As the investigation is ongoing of the SIM not supported bug, the tech giant advises customers to wait a few minutes to see if the message disappears, the memo added.
The tech giant has also added that customers should wait for the pop-up to disappear. If that does not happen, they should not try to restore the device. Instead, they must head to an Apple Store or an authorised service provider to get technical assistance to resolve the issue.
This is the second bug to widely impact the iPhone 14 series and also for the brand to acknowledge the issue. Another issue that was affecting iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max model users was the camera shake or camera rattling issue.
Apple admitted and later rolled out the iOS 16.0.2 update that brought a fix for the camera rattling issue with buzzing noise that cropped up as part of the launch. The iOS 16.0.2 update brought a fix for the vibration issue that was causing the camera to vibrate and rattle inside third-party apps like TikTok and Snapchat.
Several early buyers of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models started to report the camera rattling issues over the weekend, but it was not clear whether the issue was with third-party such as Snapchat and TikTok or with the new iOS 16 itself. It should be noted that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models are reported to be functioning just fine while using Apple’s own app.
