Anyone who stays even a little updated with news must have at least once in their lives heard a scam experience with e-commerce platforms in which a consumer order something expensive like a smartphone and got a bar of soap inside the box. There are countless such stories doing rounds on the internet and recently another story has surfaced. An entreprenuer recently shared an experience of his friend in which the person ordered a Sonor speaker worth Rs 30,000 from Flipkart but instead he got an MI speaker worth Rs 30,000.

Abhishek Bhatnagar, who has a following of more than 66,000 on X (formerly Twitter), while sharing this experience wrote that Flipkart's customer care has been unable to resolve the matter despite multiple follow-ups.

The video shared by Bhatnagar showcases an unboxing video that ends with a consumer taking out a packed Sonos speaker box from a sealed Flipkart carton package. However, it does not show the final unboxing, i.e., when the consumer took out the speakers from the box.

Netizens React

The netizens seem to be divided on this topic. Some are urging Flipkart to investigate the matter and some are asking the consumer to share the complete unboxing video.

A user said, "Don't know whom to blame. Why wasn't it was open box delivery?"

Another user wrote, "(It's) not going help if you don't have Sonos unboxing video. Your friend nowhere proved that he received Mi box inside the Sonos box."

A user added, "Recently ordered products from Flipkart, All were open box deliveries and they ask OTP once you are satisfied with what you ordered. This has become a process for expensive products due to scams. Not sure why this process was not followed in your friend's case."

Later, Bhatnagar said that Flipkart has reached out while promising to resolve the issue in just two days.
