Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut is busy promoting her upcoming film 'Emergency'. During an interview with a television channel on Wednesday (August 28), she was asked about the viral pictures of her with MP Chirag Paswan in Parliament. Kangana burst into laughter and folded her hands, saying that Chirag was a good friend.

In the interview, when asked about the viral photos, Kangana humorously said in Hindi, “Leave Parliament out of it.” She then broke into laughter and added, “It is the temple of our Constitution. I represent my constituency there.” She went on to explain, "Chirag ko main bohat pehle sey jaanti hun, wo mera accha dost hai, bechare ney ek do baar hansa diye mujhe lekin aap log to peeche hi pad gaye, ab wo bhi rasta badalkar chala jaata hai. (Chirag and I have known each other for a long time. He is a very good friend of mine. Now even Chirag changes his path when he sees me."

Kangana Ranaut on Rahul Gandhi and Indira Gandhi comparisons


During the same interview, Kangana was asked about comparisons between Rahul Gandhi and Indira Gandhi. The BJP leader dismissed the comparison as a joke, stating, "Rahul Gandhi lacks vision. He has no clear path of his own. This is evident in his behavior as well as in his speeches." 


Kangana further said, "Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister of this country three times. Some people think of her only as Rahul Gandhi's grandmother, but I don’t see it that way. To call Indira Gandhi merely Rahul Gandhi’s grandmother diminishes her stature. She was the Prime Minister of the entire nation, a significant part of our history. We have just as much right to her legacy as anyone else." 


Kangana and Chirag's film


Kangana and Chirag shared the screen space in the 2011 sports drama, 'Miley Naa Miley Hum'. The film marked Paswan’s Bollywood debut alongside Ranaut, who had already delivered a few hits. However, this collaboration ended up being a box office fiasco, and critics did not shy away from rating it as low as 0.5 stars. The film directed by Tanveer Khan also starred Neeru Bajwa and Sagarika Ghatge in pivotal roles.
