The group miffed with Musk said, said even though Elon has "positioned himself as concerned about the environment with Tesla's pivot away from Bitcoin, he doesn't practice what he preaches within the company itself- hurling many allegations against him and Tesla's practices at large," TMZ reported.

The Anonymous further criticised the Tesla CEO, saying he suffers from a "superiority complex" while quoting that the latter claims himself to be the "Emperor of Mars" - and that the business leader is constantly hurting working-class people and their prospects by his crypto trolling.

While concluding the video, the aggrieved group said he thinks "Elon is not a friend to the common man", something they considered themselves to be.

Musk had recently announced that the company has stopped accepting bitcoin as payment for its cars over concerns that it will contribute to greater consumption of fossil fuels. However, it added that it would resume accepting bitcoin as soon as mining transitioned to more sustainable energy. Tesla had only just started accepting bitcoin in late March.

On Sunday, Musk had once again impacted the movement of digital coins in the market through his social media posts saying, “Goods & Services are the real economies, any form of money is simply the accounting thereof."
