Elon Musk Has 'Cheesy Secret Instagram Account', Tesla CEO Tells Indian Twitter Friend
Pathole, who has more than 1.6 lakh followers on Twitter, is friends with Musk on the microblogging site.
New Delhi: Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed in a light banter with a Pune-based software developer that while he does not have a secret Twitter account but most definitely has a ‘cheesy secret Instagram account. Pranay Pathole, who is working for Tata Consultancy Services, has interacted with the world’s richest man in the past. Musk, who is an avid twitter user, responded to Pathole’s tweet on Monday saying he is not running Pathole's Twitter account.

Pathole joked about Musk running his account despite being busy building rockets among other things. Pathole tweeted, "Many people think that @elonmusk runs my Twitter account. And it's TRUE. He's a super busy guy, building rockets, making life multiplanetary, building futuristic electric vehicles, digging tunnels. And somehow he finds time to run multiple Twitter account. YES ".

This tweet went on to receive over 34,600 likes on it triggering several reactions including that of Elon Musk. Musk also joined the fun saying he does not have an alternative Twitter account, but confirmed the fact that he has a secret Instagram account. Musk responded saying, "Haha I don't even have a burner Twitter account! I do have a cheesy secret Instagram account, so I can click on links that friends send me."

Musk's response received more than 70,800 likes. Pathole, who has more than 1.6 lakh followers on Twitter, is friends with Musk on the microblogging site.
In 2018, Musk for the first time replied to Pathole and since then, they continue to exchange messages. He was then a second-year engineering student from Pune. Pathole tweeted to Elon Musk about Tesla's automatic windscreen wipers and the associated problem. Musk had replied, "Fixed in next release."
Both keep engaging in direct messages on Twitter. Pathole's GitHub profile describes him as a machine learning (ML) engineer and "Nerding out about Space and Rockets on Twitter." The software developer aspires to meet Musk and get an opportunity to work with him.
