International Joke Day: We Asked ChatGPT & Bard AI To Tell A Joke About Each Other. The Results Are Actually Cute

International Joke Day is being celebrated today, July 1, across the globe. The day’s origins could be traced back to the 1990s, when American novelist Wayne Reinagel as a promotional opportunity for his joke books, including 250 Funniest Office Jokes, Memos & Cartoon Pinups. The so-called Joke Day initially gained recognition in the United States. However, over time, this day became widely celebrated and embraced by numerous countries across the globe.

To celebrate International Joke Day, we decided to pit two popular generative AI chatbots — OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard AI — against each other. We asked them to tell a joke about each other. While ChatGPT’s response was prompt and expected, Bard’s response showed the sort-of-sensitive side of the Google-developed chatbot. 

First, let’s see what ChatGPT said:
