ChatGPT Users Will Now Be Able To Turn Off Chat History

OpenAI will not save conversations from users who choose to disable chat history and will not use them to train its models.

OpenAI, which is owned by Microsoft, has made an announcement that its AI chatbot, ChatGPT, will now allow users to disable chat history. According to OpenAI, the chatbot will not save the conversations of users who opt to turn off their chat history. The company will also not use those conversations to enhance its models. The option to disable chat history is now available to all users and can be changed at any time in ChatGPT's settings.

In addition, OpenAI has revealed that it will retain new conversations for 30 days if chat history is disabled. The company will review these conversations only when necessary to monitor for abuse before permanently deleting them.

Furthermore, OpenAI is working on a new ChatGPT Business subscription aimed at professionals who need more control over their data, as well as businesses looking to manage their end users. According to the company, ChatGPT Business will comply with their API's data usage policies, ensuring that end users' data will not be used to train their models by default. The company plans to make ChatGPT Business available in the near future.

Mehdi said that Bing's visual capabilities, including the new knowledge cards, have helped improve search results and allow richer views of the searches.
