Sylendra Babu said: “All are twisted and made to appear like Bihars are attacked. However, law and order is maintained very well in the state. Action will be taken against those spreading false news.”

Till now, Tamil Nadu has reported two major clashes between migrant workers and the residents of Tamil Nadu. A clash broke out between two groups of labourers including migrant workers at a garment factor in Tiruppur on January 14. The two groups of workers initially started to argue over a petty issue but soon the argument turned into a fistfight. Later, the police said that the incident was blown out of proportion after it went viral on social media.
