These Areas To Experience Power Shutdown In Chennai Today. Full List

The power will be shut down from 9 am to 2 pm on Wednesday due to maintenance works.

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) announced that there will be power disruption in several places across Chennai including Taramani, Perungudi, Tambaram and Avadi areas. 

The power will be shutdown from 9 am to 2 pm on Wednesday due to maintenance works. The power will resume once the works get completed, said a report on India Today. 

The full list:

Taramani-Perungudi:  Church main road, Apollo Hospitals, Ramappa Nagar and all surrounding areas.

Tambaram: Kamatchi Nagar, Thiruvalluvar street, Durga Nagar Housing board,  Bharathidhasan street, Erikari street and above all surrounding areas.

South Perambedu: Mettusurappedu, Alimedu, Mettucolony, Pallasurappedu and Vatikaranpalayam.

Kolathur: Srinivasan Nagar, Rajus apartment, Senthil Avenue, Ganthimathi Street, Shanthi colony and above all surrounding areas.

Avadi-Redhills: Mahalakshmi Nagar, Vivekakbar avenue, Vadivel Nagar street, Jothynagar and nearby areas.

Meanwhile, parts of Vellore will experience power shutdown for three hours a day between 7 am to 10 am till April 25 due to maintenance work in sub-station limits of Sathuvachari.

Vellore List 

April 6: Tansi Sarathi Nagar, Kagithapattarai, Chetty Street, City bank, Phase 2, SIC Colony, Balaji Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Anbu Nagar, Sakthi Nagar and Netajji Nagar's surrounding areas.

In Vellore Old Town sub-station limits the power shutdown will be experienced on April 6 at Avvai Nagar, Vellore Central Jail, Palavansathu Kuppam, Shanmuga Nagar and Ramset Nagar.

Tangedco has also released the list of places where power shutdown will be experienced till April 25.
