The trailer of Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni starrer web series 'The Family Man 2' was released yesterday. Since the launch, the trailer is creating buzz for the wrong reasons – netizens severely backlash the show creators for depicting the Eelam Tamils in a bad light.

Since the release, the trailer is creating buzz for wrong reasons – netizens severely backlash the show creator for depicting the militant organization  Liberation Tigers Of Tamil Eelam in a bad light.

On the other hand, praises are pouring in for the leading lady in the show, Samantha Akkineni from the film fraternity. Kangana Ranaut went gaga over Samantha lauding her power-packed performance in the series quoting, “This girl has my heart.” Meanwhile, Sam’s incredible make-over in the show is also being praised by a lot.

While hashtags like #ShameOnYouSamantha and #FamilyMan2_against_Tamils are trending on Twitter following the trailer release.

The second season of the 'The Family Man' web series is set to release on June 4 on Amazon Prime. The makers have taken the second part following the success of the first season. Actress Samantha plays the lead role in web series that set release next month. The trailer has been released and is trending on YouTube. But many on social media have commented that the features in it are meant to denigrate Tamils, especially Eelam Tamils, and their struggle.

The LTTE uniform has also been shown in the official trailer which drives the netizens to claim that the director is trying to portray the Eelam Tamils as militants in the film as brand them as extremists. Many have even demanded a public apology from the makers of the show

 

The hashtag # FamilyMan2_against_Tamils ​​2 is trending on Twitter. Meanwhile, Amazon has said that everything in this web series is fictional and was taken with no intention of humiliating anyone.

Amid the chaos, the second season is succeeding in grabbing more eyeballs which would apparently help the show.
