Tamil Nadu: Stalker Stabs Man For Warning Against Harassing His Daughter
Following this, Avadi police have registered a case and are investigating based on a complaint from Nagaraj.
Chennai: A 19-year-old stalker stabbed a father after he allegedly chided him for following and harassing his daughter in Chennai's Avadi. The father was immediately rushed to the hospital with the help of the neighbours and he has been receiving treatment.
According to a report in the Times of India, a 19-year-old man Prathap reportedly stalked a teenage girl in Avadi. He reportedly used to follow her to nearby shops and other areas. The girl after realising about the stalking immediately informed her father about the incident.

Following this, Nagaraj, the 44-year-old father of the girl from Poonamalle, called Prathap and warned him against stalking and harassing his daughter. Later, he also said that he would give a police complaint if the harassment continues.
However, Angered by this, Prathap and his friend Mani plotted against Nagaraj. On Monday, the duo got inebriated and entered Nagaraj's home late night. They then verbally abused the father and the daughter and as a result, a heated argument ensued. In a fit of rage during the argument, Prathap stabbed Nagaraj with a broken beer bottle.

Nagaraj's wife Manjula who was near the spot cried for help. The neighbours rushed and took Nagaraj to the hospital. They also nabbed Prathap and handed him over to the police.
Following this, Avadi police have registered a case and are investigating based on a complaint from Nagaraj.
