TN Relaxes Curfew Curbs From Today; CM Stalin Warns Withdrawal Of Relaxations In Case Of Violations

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin had announced more relaxations for 27 districts except 11 districts in the state

Chennai: Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin had announced more relaxations for 27 districts except 11 districts — Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagai and Mayiladuthurai — where Covid is still raging. Accordingly, curfew with relaxations came into effect from today in the remaining 27 districts.

Tea shops can be opened from 6 am to 5 pm and permission was granted for takeaways of tea. Beauty parlour, saloons and spas are permitted to operate from 6 AM to 5 PM on condition that only 50 per cent of customers at a time are allowed to operate without air condition. Manufacture and sale of pottery and handicrafts are permitted to operate from 6 AM to 5 PM. Export-import companies, manufacturing and export companies are permitted to with fresh SOPs imposed by government as 25 per cent company staff is allowed.

Besides, Electricians, Plumbers, Motor Technicians and carpenters will be allowed with e-registration from 9 AM to 5 PM but these shops are not allowed to open. Bicycle and two wheeler repair shops (not sales shops) will be allowed from 9AM to 12 Noon. Hire vehicles to operate till 2.00 pm. Passengers will be allowed to go with e-registration in taxis and autos. In addition, in rental taxis, three passengers and two passengers in auto-rickshaws will be allowed to travel.

Agricultural equipment, pump sets repair shops (not sales shops) are permitted to operate from 9 AM to 2 PM. Optical sales and repair shops are permitted to operate the corresponding duration.

Lockdown Violation Will Lead To Curfew Curbs Withdrawal, Says CM Stalin

While addressing the people of state, Tamil Nadu Cm MK Stalin had warned people that the lockdown curbed will be stricter if the lockdown norms are violated. "It is important for people to understand that those who violate the lockdown norms are adversely harming the country. We have done that mistake in the past and let's learn from it and not do it again. We should be self-disciplined self-disciplined without the surveillance of the police department. I hope the people will support the government and we all stand tall in fighting out this pandemic."

"If you want to get back to normalcy, it's depend upon you. Everything will resume once the pandemic is gone and the better you follow the lockdown norms, that sooner we will get back to normalcy. Let's prove that people's power is supreme and we the people in Tamil nadu have that power," the CM added.
