Identify 10 Long Pending Issues In Each Constituency: TN CM Stalin Tells MLAs

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday wrote to the legislators of Tamil Nadu to prioritize 10 long pending issues in their constituencies and bring them to light for taking action under the "CM in your constituency" (Ungal Thoguthiyil Mudhalamaichar) scheme. The CM also requested the MLAs to send the list of recommendations to the Collectors of their respective districts in the next 15 days.
In a letter, Stalin said, "The MLAs can submit a list of 10 important long pending issues in their constituencies to the respective district collectors after learning about the various needs of the people of the constituency."
Following this, he said, "The most important projects will be identified from the list and steps will be taken to implement the projects which could not be implemented earlier under the existing government schemes on a priority basis."

As per a press release, the Chief Minister also said that the MLAs can highlight the issues including the need for an infrastructural facelift, improving drinking water, medical facilities work for marketing agricultural produce, linking of roads, and revamping tourists spots.
The CM also said that the MLAs can also bring to notice the lack of adequate schools, arts and science colleges, Polytechnic and ITI in their constituencies.

In May, on the first year anniversary of DMK-led government in Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin announced that 'Ungal Thogudhiyil Mudalamaichar' scheme will be expanded to all 234 constituencies. He also said that Rs 1,000 crore would be allotted for the scheme in the current financial year.
