'Hindi, Hindi': Viral Video Shows TN Man Assaulting Migrant Workers On Train

Chennai: A viral video showed a man abusing and assaulting migrant labourers on a moving train in Tamil Nadu. The accused had reportedly said that the migrant workers are stealing away the jobs of people in the state.
Based on the viral video, Tamil Nadu railway police registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.
According to NDTV, the railway police in a statement said, "Government Railway Police Tamil Nadu has registered an FIR against the accused persons under relevant provisions of law. Perpetrators of the crime will be brought to book."
The video showed a man verbally and physically abusing migrant workers in an unreserved compartment of a moving train.
Suddenly, a man in the compartment asked one of the travellers if he was Tamil or Hindi and when another person told him 'Hindi, Hindi' he started to assaulted him and other migrant workers near him. The accused continued the assault despite calls to stop them by fellow passengers.
The accused also reportedly said that the migrant workers were stealing away the jobs of locals in the state.
Meanwhile, actor-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar said, “When linguistic chauvinism dominates the political narrative and social media content, this is bound to happen.
