Danish Royal Family To Visit Tamil Nadu on Feb 28: Denmark Envoy
Apart from Tamil Nadu visit, the Crown Prince is expected to address the Opening Session of India-Denmark: Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress.
Chennai: The Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik Andre Henrik Christian and Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth are set to visit India on a five-day trip from February 26. The Danish Royals are set to arrive in India for the first time in two decades on the invitation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
During the visit, the Royal family along with Danish companies are scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu to discuss about the green energy, as per the Danish Envoy Freddy Svane.
In an exclusive interview with ANI on Tuesday, Svane said, "As I have said early on, Tamil Nadu is a prime destination for Danish or private investments. And we have many, many Danish companies down there, especially with the energy sector and much of the global supply chain for the wind industry. Meaning the wind turbines, the plates and all that and cables, whatever you need have been, let's say, concentrated and consolidated in Tamil Nadu."
"So it makes sense for us with a focus on the green transition, energy transition, renewables that we also pay a visit with our royals, the ministers but also out companies to Tamil Nadu," he said.
