CISF Constable Kills Self At Chennai Airport
The police are also searching if any suicide note has been left behind.
Chennai: A 26-year-old Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable shot himself dead at a restroom of Chennai International Airport on Thursday. The constable was Yashpal, a native of Rajasthan, who joined CISF service in 2017.
According to a report on IANS, Yashpal reported to duty at the departure terminal on Thursday. However, a few hours later, Yashpal fired Self-Loading Rifle on his forehead and died on the spot.
On hearing the gunshot his colleagues immediately rushed to the toilet but found him in a pool of blood. Later, the police sent the body for autopsy.

The CISF Authorities said that he died by suicide but the cause of his death is unknown. An internal probe on this matter will be held to ascertain the cause of his death.
The police are also searching if any suicide note has been left behind.

Yashpal who reportedly went on leave to his native in Rajasthan returned to Chennai and reported to work only two days back, said a report on Times of India.
In August 17, 2021, a 27-year-old woman cop posted with CISF died by suicide in Mumbai. The woman constable from Uttar Pradesh reportedly took to extreme steps while she was at the CISF bachelor hostel in Sector-7. However, a police officer from Antophill police station said, the family members of the woman said that she had a psychiatric disorder and was undergoing treatment through a psychologist.
