Suspicious Object Found Outside BJP's Office In Kolkata, Bomb & Dog Squads Reach Spot: WATCH

A suspicious object was discovered outside Bharatiya Janata Party's office in Kolkata, West Bengal on Sunday night.

A suspicious object was discovered outside Bharatiya Janata Party's office in Kolkata, West Bengal on Sunday night. Following this, the bomb squad and dog sqaud along with the police team reached at the spot. 

The bomb squad and dog squad are currently carrying out the search operation.

BJP leader Tamoghna Ghosh, who was present at the spot stated: "This may or may not be a bomb. However, it looks like it is a bomb. If a bomb-like object is found in Central Avenue, then the police should be active and the bomb squad should be here. But where is the police?" 

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari met West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose at Raj Bhavan. The BJP leader was accompanied by the victims of post-poll violence in West Bengal.

BJP's Fact-Finding Committee Interacts With Post-Poll Violence Victims

A four-member fact-finding committee of the BJP, including MLA Agnimitra Paul, party leaders Ravi Shankar Prasad and Biplab Kumar Deb interacted with the victims of post-poll violence in Kolkata.

The senior party leaders reached Kolkata to take stock of the situation saffron party workers alleged violence against them in West Bengal after the Lok Sabha polls.

After meeting the violence victims, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said: "We listened to the problems of all our party workers and supporters over the post-poll violence...Mamata ji, what is happening under your regime? People can't go home after voting. Brother of one of our party workers was murdered, now he is being threatened. So many leaders from minority community is sitting here and they can't go and celebrate Eid."

Questioning the Bengal CM over the situation in the state, Prasad stated: "What is happening in your state Mamata ji?...women, OBC and minorities are affected. What kind of democracy is this?...people have the right to go to their own homes...our party is with these people...I request my party legal cell to appeal in the High Court with the details of these people and seek protection..."

This comes after BJP alleged that its supporters and workers were being intimidated and subjected to violence by ruling TMC supporters in various parts of Bengal after Lok Sabha elections concluded.
