Yogi Govt Announces Jobs In Over 58,000 Gram Panchayats Ahead Of Assembly Polls 2022

More than 58,000 posts in all gram panchayats in UP will provide jobs to the youth. The government is preparing to complete the recruitment process in just 40 days.

Lucknow: Before the upcoming assembly elections in UP, BJP has played a big bet. Bumper jobs are at hand in all 58,189-gram panchayats of the state. The government is going to appoint Panchayat assistants or data entry operators equivalent to panchayats in the state. The process of appointment of 58,189 Panchayat Assistants in the state will begin from August 2, the government is all set to complete the entire recruitment process in just 40 days. These Panchayat Assistants will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 6,000 per month and their tenure will be 1 year. The maximum age of the applicant applying for this post can be up to 40 years.

For recruitment to this post, the applicant must be a resident of the same Gram Panchayat from where he is applying. In this entire recruitment process, the same reservation rule will be applicable for that Gram Panchayat as was in the Panchayat elections. That is, if a gram panchayat is reserved for a woman SC or ST, the same reservation will apply to that. Here the merit will be made based on marks obtained in class 10th and 12th, depending on which the Panchayat Assistant will be selected.

State Panchayati Raj Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary said that there is a lot of transparency in the entire process. In this, the Pradhan will not be able to keep his family and relatives. In this selection process, the committee headed by the District Magistrate will put the final seal. A budget of 1 lakh 75 thousand rupees will also be given to all gram panchayats for setting up of gram panchayat secretariat in the state.

Hiring process

  • The notification for inviting applications for Panchayat Assistant will be issued between July 30 and August 1. 
  • The application submission period will be from August 2 to August 17.
  • The application forms will be submitted to the Gram Panchayat between August 18 and August 23.
  • The preparation of the merit list will be done from August 24 to August 31.
  • The test will be held from September 1 to September 7 by the committee constituted under the chairmanship of DM. The appointment letter by Gram Panchayat will be issued between September 8 and September 10.

The focus of the Yogi government of the state is continuously on mission employment. The government claims that in the last four and a half years, lakhs of youth have been given employment so far. The BJP is trying to employ as many youths as possible before the 2022 elections so that when it has to go to the public to seek votes, at least, it can be said that the government has fulfilled its promise of employment.
