Lucknow: 51 Children Fall Sick After Having Food At Birthday Party, 39 Hospitalised. Health Dept On Alert
As a result of the large number of persons who were unwell in Mohanlalganj, many major hospitals in Lucknow have been placed on high alert. These people became unwell after returning from an event.
51 people fell ill on Tuesday after eating at a birthday party in Gaura village, Mohanlalganj Nagar Panchayat, Lucknow. 39 of these people have been admitted to the Mohanlalganj Community Health Center. The Community Health Center's beds have since been filled. The majority of those at risk of infection are children.
The one-year-old son of Gaura resident Mohit had his first birthday on Monday. Many different dishes were made at the house for the birthday celebration, however it has been reported that chickpeas and rice have caused some to become ill. The medical staff is looking for the cause of this sickness.
Many of Lucknow's major hospitals have been placed on high alert. The number of persons admitted to the health centre is steadily increasing. All of the patients had fevers and diarrhoea.
Some people's conditions began to deteriorate late at night, while others' conditions worsened in the morning.
"All of the hospital's beds were taken one by one. Efforts are being made, however, to improve the systems," ABP News reported.
The children's condition had deteriorated after eating and drinking at a birthday party, according to Lucknow CMO Dr. Manoj Aggarwal.
"All of the children have been admitted to the Mohanlalganj community health centre," he added.

The majority of the children are suffering with fever and diarrhoea. Lucknow's Civil and Balrampur hospitals have been placed on high alert.
"Due to the large number of children being admitted together, two children were being treated on one bed each," he said.
At present, the children are now being shifted. Mohanlalganj Tehsildar Anand Tiwari said that so far 39 children have been admitted to the hospital.
"Everyone is getting treated. Clean water has been sent to the village for drinking," the official said.
