WATCH: PM Modi Lauds UP CM Adityanath As He Remarks, ‘Those Who Identify Yogi Only With Bulldozer…’

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: PM Narendra Modi praised Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath's efforts in developing the state as he dismissed those identifying him only for the 'Bulldozer' action in the state.

In a public rally held in Aligarh on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his efforts in fostering development in the state. Modi expressed his optimism, stating, "Because of BJP, now our Uttar Pradesh is going to become a big hub of self-reliant India and self-reliant Army." He emphasised the significance of CM Yogi's 'One District, One Product' initiative, asserting that it is earning newfound respect nationwide.

Modi highlighted Adityanath's pivotal role in propelling industrial development in Uttar Pradesh, underscoring, "I want to open the eyes of those people who keep identifying Yogi ji only with bulldozer. Whatever industrial development did not happen in Uttar Pradesh after independence, it happened during the period of Yogi ji alone. His mission of One District, One Product is creating new respect in the entire country."

"You talked about bulldozers, if someone has taken the development to new heights, Yogi ji's government has taken it and as an MP from Kashi, he is also my Chief Minister. I feel proud that I have such colleagues," he added.

Speaking on the enhancement of the Haj quota for Indian Muslims, PM Modi mentioned his appeal to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, resulting in an increase in the quota and simplification of visa procedures. "Earlier, due to less Haj quota, there used to be a lot of fighting and bribery was also prevalent there...Today, not only has India's Haj quota increased but visa rules have also been made easier," Modi stated.

UP CM Adityanath Accuses Opposition Parties Of Neglecting Aligarh's Development

Furthermore, Yogi Adityanath, addressing the gathering, accused opposition parties of neglecting Aligarh's development and manipulating faith for political gains. He urged the public to endorse the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, asserting that doing so would pave the way for India's emergence as a major global power. Adityanath also commended Modi's contributions, urging voters to continue supporting the BJP in the subsequent phases of the elections.

“Living up to the expectations of common people, PM Modi himself came here to establish a university in the name of freedom fighter Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh. Now the university is ready and the session has also started,” he said, as quoted by PTI.

The Aligarh Lok Sabha seat, among others, is scheduled for polling in the second phase on April 26, along with several other constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. With its 80 MPs, Uttar Pradesh holds significant sway in the 543-member Parliament.
