A fire broke out in a coach of Vaishali Superfast Express in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah on Thursday. The train was travelling from Delhi to Saharsa when the incident occurred, as reported by news agency PTI. According to the police, fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire in the train's S-6 coach was doused.

Speaking on the fire incident, the police said, “The fire broke out in the coach next to the pantry, in which 19 people were injured. Out of the 19, 11 were facing breathing issues and they have been referred elsewhere,” as quoted by PTI.

Etawah Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjai Kumar said, "Some people have been taken to a hospital". He added that more details are awaited. The fire was reported around 2:40 am on Thursday when the Delhi-Saharasa Vaishali Express was passing through an area under the Friends Colony police station, he said, as reported by PTI.
This was the second fire-related incident on a train in Etawah. Earlier on Wednesday, a massive fire broke out in New Delhi-Darbhanga Express train (02570) near Etawah on Wednesday, news agency ANI reported.
The fire broke out when Darbhanga Clone Special (02570) was passing through Sarai Bhopat Railway station in Uttar Pradesh. The station master stopped the train after he saw smoke in the S1 coach. All the passengers were taken out safely and no casualty has been reported, the news agency reported.
