A three-year-old girl was allegedly lured by a man on the pretext of providing chocolates and raped her in Telangana's Siddipet district. The girl was at her home when the accused who worked as a painter in the housing complex lured and raped the child. 


Based on the information, the police arrested the accused identified as Ajay, a migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the case. 


On Monday, Ajay lured the child with chocolates and took her to his room. He then raped her, said police, according to a report on India Today. 


The incident came to light after the grandfather of the girl reported the crime to the police. The next day, police arrested Ajay based on complaint of the girl's grandfather. 


In Siddipet, the girl is currently undergoing treatment. However, her condition is said to be stable. 


Police Commissioner B Anuradha told India Today, the officials have been instructed to complete the probe and ensure fast-track trail to deliver justice. She also instructed them to file a chargesheet at the earliest. 


Last month, an eight-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered by her school seniors in Nandyala of Andhra Pradesh. Based on the imformation, the police detained the three minors. 


The students, aged 12 and 13, also confessed to disposing the girl's body in an irrigation canal. 


Meanwhile, a man befriended a 13-year-old girl on social media and raped her recently. The girl got to know about the man through Instagram. The accused, employed in a hotel  Goregaon area of Mumbai, took the survivor to Gujarat after the rape. After he abandoned her, she returned to her home on her own. Later, she narrated the ordeal to her parents, who had by then given a girl missing case. 


On Tuesday, the police nabbed the man based on the complaint from the girl's parents. They booked him under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
