Khushbu Sundar Resigns From National Commission For Women To Rejoin Active Politics

Actor and politician Khushbu Sundar, a prominent member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has officially resigned from her position as a member of the National Commission for Women (NCW). The Ministry of Women and Child Development confirmed that her resignation has been accepted, effective from June 28.
Khushbu Sundar took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce her decision, highlighting her deep commitment to her political career. "After 14 dedicated years in politics, today marks a heartfelt transition. I’ve resigned from @NCWIndia to fully embrace my passion for serving our great party, the BJP," she wrote. She expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J P Nadda, and BJP National General Secretary B L Santhosh for the opportunity to serve on the NCW.
In her post, Sundar emphasised that while her role in the NCW came with certain limitations, her resignation now allows her to devote herself entirely to the BJP's mission. "Being a part of NCW had its restrictions, but now I’m free to serve wholeheartedly," she noted. She also announced her intention to attend the flag-hoisting ceremony at Kamalalayam, the BJP's Chennai office, marking her return to active politics with renewed vigor.

Khushbu Sundar, who has been a significant figure in Indian politics for over a decade, assured her supporters that her return to the political arena is genuine and driven by a deep-seated loyalty to the BJP and its cause. "Gossip mongers can rest in peace; my return is genuine and driven by my unwavering love for the party and the people," she stated, adding that her break from active politics has only strengthened her resolve to advance the Prime Minister's visionary schemes.
