'Series Of Nightmares Every Week': Mamata Attacks Centre Over Howrah-Mumbai Train Accident

At least two people were killed and 20 others sustained injuries after 18 coaches of Mumbai-Howrah Mail derailed near Badabamboo in Jharkhand on Tuesday.

Jharkhand Train Derailment: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed the NDA-led Central government after the Mumbai-Howrah Mail derailed near Badabamboo in Jharkhand on Tuesday, claiming two lives and leaving 20 others injured.

She questioned the government over regular train derailment incidents that have occurred in the last few months and said, "Will there be no end to the callousness of the Government of India?".

The TMC chief condemned the incident and said, "My heart goes out to the bereaved families, condolences to the next of kin." The Howara-CSMT Express derailed near Chakradharpur, between Rajkharswan West Outer and Barabamboo in Jharkhand's Chakradharpur division.

"Another disastrous rail accident! Howrah- Mumbai mail derails in Chakradharpur division in Jharkhand today early morning, multiple deaths and huge number of injuries are the tragic consequences. I seriously ask: is this governance? This series of nightmares almost every week, this unending procession of deaths and injuries on railway tracks: for how long shall we tolerate this? Will there be no end to the callousness of Government of India?! My heart goes out to the bereaved families, condolences to the next of kin," Banerjee said in a post on X.
