Jharkhand: Dy SP, SI Shot At By Members Of Aman Sahu Gang, Condition Critical

New Delhi: Members of the Aman Sahu Gang on Monday shot at and injured ATS Dy SP and one SI of Ramgarh district police in the Patratu area in Jharkhand, reported news agency ANI.
According to Ramgarh Police, both have been brought to Ranchi for treatment and Dy SP is said to be in critical condition.
In a separate incident, a Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) employee was shot at by an unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreant in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district on Sunday, reported PTI.
The employee, identified as Ashish Banerjee, is posted at the Rajrappa washery project of CCL.
Banerjee who suffered injuries on his waist was taken to CCL hospital in Rajrappa, from where he was referred to Sadar hospital.
Since he needed critical surgery, the injured was shifted to a hospital in Ranchi, the police officer said.
Sanjay Nayak, officer-in-charge of Rajrappa police station, said the incident occurred at 2 pm when one of the three miscreants fired two bullets at Banerjee near his residence in Rajrappa.
In another incident, last month, a 28-year-old police constable was shot dead in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district when he was on his way home.
Three people, including the wife of the constable, were arrested in connection with the murder, Ramgarh Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey had said.
The wife had allegedly hatched a conspiracy to "kill the constable to get a government job on compassionate ground and spend the rest of her life with one of her friends, another police officer told PTI.
Constable Pankaj Kumar Das, who was posted in the Urmimari police station area in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district, was shot from a close range on Friday night at Sankul village in Ramgarh when he was on his way home on a motorcycle, the SP said.
He had said that the murder mystery was solved within 12 hours.
