According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), extremely heavy rainfall is expected to continue in Gujarat for the next two days.
The water level of the famous Gira Waterfalls in Gujarat's Waghai has risen significantly amid heavy rain in the state, it was reported on Wednesday. This seasonal waterfall becomes a major tourist attraction during the monsoon.

Heavy rains have been reported in various parts of Gujarat, with an IMD 'Red' alert in place until Thursday for the Saurashtra region and Kachchh.
The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall in the Bharuch district since Tuesday night, IANS reported. Several low-lying areas in Bharuch have been inundated, disrupting daily life. The District Collector declared Wednesday a holiday for schools and colleges due to the severe weather conditions.

In Vadodara, heavy rainfall caused waterlogging in different parts of the city on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted an aerial survey of the villages in the coastal districts of Saurashtra, which have been battered by rain since Monday.
Heavy rains in the coastal districts of Saurashtra, including Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar, and Porbandar, over the past five days have led to waterlogging in low-lying areas. The Kalyanpur taluka in Devbhoomi Dwarka experienced the most severe impact of the torrential rains, receiving 281 mm of precipitation in just 12 hours.
According to the IMD, extremely heavy rainfall is expected to continue in Gujarat for the next two days.
