Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav condemned the alleged murder of Jitan Sahani, father of Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahani. He lashed out at the Bihar and central government over the state's law and order situation and said that crimes are happening despite a double engine government in the state.

Meanwhile, three people have been detained in connection with the alleged murder of Jitan Sahani. He was found murdered at his ancestral home in Bihar's Darbhanga district on Tuesday, with several stab injuries and cut marks on his chest and stomach.

Expressing condolences to the family, Yadav said: "We are very saddened by the murder of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani's father. We have deep condolences for the family. May God give strength to them in these harsh times."

Hitting out at the Nitish Kumar-led government, Tejashwi Yadav said that a "gundaraj" was prevailing in the state.

"Despite there being two Deputy CMs of double engine government, murders, rapes, other crimes are happening in Bihar and the government is doing nothing," he said.

'Terror Rule Has Been Established In Bihar': Tejashwi Yadav

Tejashwi Yadav further went on to allege that the morale of the criminals is being supported, protected, and sponsored by the government.

"Terror rule has been established in the state. I am continuously saying that in the double engine powered government of Bihar, the morale of the criminals supported by the government, protected by the government and sponsored by the government has increased so much that they can kill anyone whenever they want, wherever they want, however they want, and in whatever way they want," Yadav tweeted.

Critcising the NDA government, Yadav further wrote that it "keeps repeating the same old dialogue that there is good governance, while hundreds of people are dying untimely deaths in criminal incidents every day."

"We even issue crime bulletins, but the arrogant government does not care. If tired leaders and retired officers will handle the law and order of the state, then this will be the result," he added.
