Yuzvendra Chahal Reacts To Rohit Sharma Replacing Him In 'Chahal TV'
Rohit Sharma took over anchoring duties to interview bowling heroes Ishant Sharma, along with Umesh and Mohammad Shami after India defeated Bangladesh On Sunday in 2nd Test at Kolkata
Kolkata: India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal - who returned back to form with the ball by bowling well against South Africa in limited overs cricket - took a funny jibe at India star opener Rohit Sharma after team India attained a remarkable win in their maiden pink ball Test against Bangladesh at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Sunday.
Chahal has a separate fan base when it comes to his interviewing skills with team India players in 'Chahal TV' post matches. However, because Chahal is not a part of the Indian Test squad, Rohit Sharma took over anchoring duties to interview bowling heroes Ishant Sharma, along with Umesh and Mohammad Shami.
"Good job by New anchor Rohitaa Sharamaaaa," Chahal tweeted in response to the video shared by BCCI, before cheekily adding "keep it up youngster".
Veteran speedster Ishant Sharma was declared Man of the Series for his series haul of 12 wickets at an average of 10.75 against Bangladesh. During his conversation with Rohit for BCCI, Ishant revealed how he had to hit the deck hard in order to extract swing from the pink ball. "This is very different (from the red ball)," said Ishant about the pink ball. "On the first day, the ball was not swinging at all. We then told each other that neither the ball nor the wicket is such that we will get any swing easily. We have to hit the deck hard on length, especially during the day," he added. After win against the visitors, Team India are now placed at the top of the ICC World Test Championship, reaching 360 points. Virat & Co. will be next facing New Zealand in the two-Test series, February 2020.Good job by New anchor Rohitaa Sharamaaaa 🤪 @ImRo45 keep it up youngster 🙈 @BCCI https://t.co/egl4A4h512
