The 21-year-old, who hasn't even played a single first-class game so far, bagged prized wickets of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hanuma Vihari, Ravindra Jadeja and all-rounder Shardul Thakur. For Walker, the first day of this practice match became memorable forever.

Walker has not yet made his debut in first-class cricket. He has played only two list matches before Leicestershire's practice match against India and during this he has managed to take just one wicket.

Roman Walker has played for Leicestershire in the Vitality Blast, taking a total of 17 wickets in 13 T20 matches. Apart from this, Walker was also part of the England cricket team in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup, although he did not get a chance to play many matches back then.
Talking about the practice match, a total of 60.2 overs were bowled on the first day. India scored 246 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Sreekar Bharat remained unbetan scoring the maximum 70 runs with Mohammed Shami returning not out after scoring 18 runs.
