New Delhi: Star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has been getting immense love from all over India ever since he created history by winning the first-ever athletics gold medal for the country in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Neeraj Chopra, the man of many talents, only the second gold medal winner in the individual event in the Olympics for India, is now preparing to make a name for himself in the world of commercials as well.

With India's newest sporting magnet attending one event after another and giving one interview after the other, and emerging as a hero after every appearance, the advertising world has also got a new star in Neeraj Chopra.

Until recently, only film stars and top cricketers were engaged for product marketing in India, but after the entry of star athletes such as Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and others, things have changed.

Credit card payments app CRED that introduced to the world the never-seen-before avatar of Rahul Dravid, who startled all as the "Indiranagar ka gunda",  has now come up with a new advertisement featuring the nation's new heartthrob, Neeraj Chopra, in not one but many avatars.

The commercial shows how people from different fields are looking to capitalise on the success of Neeraj Chopra. The star javelin thrower himself played different characters in the ad.

In one of its previous commercials, Cred also presented former cricket stars Javagal Srinath, Venkatesh Prasad and Maninder Singh and Saba Karim as 'Venkaboys', which too had won hearts.

As far as Neeraj's athletic career is concerned, after Tokyo Olympics, he won't take part in any other tournament this year and will start preparations for next year's World Athletics Championships and Asian Games.
