New Delhi: Many Pakistan cricketing starts have slammed New Zealand Cricket Board for abruptly abandoning the tour of Pakistan following a 'security alert'. Now, West Indies' veteran batsman Chris Gayle tweet 'about him going to Pakistan tomorrow' is going viral on social media.

However, the tweet from Gayle just seems to be a humorous take on the situation and nothing else as the hard-hitting batsman is currently in UAE and will play for Punjab Kings in IPL 2021 Phase 2. Franchise Punjab Kings have high hopes from Gayle's fiery batting in the tournament.

Chris Gayle took to Twitter to write," I’m going to Pakistan tomorrow, who coming with me?"

Significantly, the New Zealand contingent had reached Pakistan on September 11 after a gap of 18 years to play a limited-overs series. New Zealand were slated to play three ODIs and five T20Is on Pakistan tour. After the sudden cancellation of Pak vs NZ series, Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan government have expressed anger and disappointment.

Pakistan's Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Saturday said that the New Zealand team was in no danger and they only made excuses to leave home as they did not want to play the series.

Pakistan cricket on Saturday posted a video in which newly-appointed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja urged the national cricket team to channelise their 'frustration and anger' towards their performance ahead of T20 World Cup.

"It is a shared pain and whatever happened is not right for Pakistani cricket. We were expecting something else. But the point is we have experienced such situations in the past and we have always moved forward. We have a lot of resilience and strength, and that is because of the fans and the Pakistan cricket team," Ramiz Raja said in a video posted on Pakistan Cricket Twitter.
