Avani Lekhara wins yet another medal on her debut Paralympic Games. She secures a podium finish in women's 50M rifle 3P SH1 final and won a bronze medal for India. This is her second medal this year at the Paralympic Games. She had won a gold medal earlier.
The 19-year old Avani Lekhara became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at Paralympic Games. She won a gold in women's 10m AR Standing SH1 Final.

India's medal tally has reached 12 now, with this medal. India now has 2 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. One bronze was disqualified. India now stands at the 36th position in the medals tally of Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
