Team India T20 World Cup 2022 schedule: Rohit Sharma is all set to lead the Indian cricket team for the first time ever in his career in a T20 World Cup. Team India is taking part in the marquee event without two of its premier cricketers Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah. The talented duo was ruled out of the tournament due to their injuries. Despite this, the Men in Blue are still considered to be one of the favorites to lift the T20 WC trophy this year.

Indian players have arrived in Australia and are working to adapt themselves to the Australian conditions, weather and pitch. India's formidable batters Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma were spotted spending hours in the nets to get well versed with Australian pitches and conditions.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have plenty of experience of playing in Australia, but many players selected in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup will play in Australia for the first time. It includes players like Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh and that's why the tournament will be quite challenging for them.

India, after winning their first warm up game against Western Australia, will play its second warm-up match in Perth on October 12. After this, India will go to Brisbane, where they have to play two warm-up matches before the T20 World Cup. India's first warm-up match is against Australia on 17th October while the second match is against New Zealand on 19th October. Rohit Sharma & Co. will kick-off their T20 World Cup campaign against arch-nemesis Pakistan in Melbourne on 23rd October.
