New Delhi: An all-round performace from Rajasthan Royals powered them to en emphatic 61-run win over a depleted Sunrisers Hyderabad in Pune on Tuesday. The win over Kane Williamson & Co. has helped Rajasthan start their IPL campaign on a winning note, become the first team in this year's IPL to win a match while defending a total.
After sensational knocks from Sanju Samson (27-balls 55 runs) and Devdut Padikkal (29-balls 41 runs), a fiery finishing act from Hetmyer (13-balls 32 runs) lift Rajasthan to a mammoth 210-run total, sensational spells from spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (3/22) and Prasidh Krishna (2/16) restricted Hyderabad to 149/7.

Sanju Samson, playing his 100th match for Rajasthan Royals, scored his fifty off just 25 balls. RR scored 210 runs in their allotted 20 overs. For Hyderabad, Umran Malik and T Natarajan got 2 wickets apiece, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Romario Shepherd got one wicket each.
